COURSES OFFERED IN COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY OJI RIVER

The College of Health technology, Oji River Enugu State offers admission to suitably qualified candidates for the 2023/2024 academic session in the following programmes:

Admission Requirements for each course offered at the Enugu State College Of Health Technology

1. Department of Community Health

- Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW/Nursing)

Entry Requirements: Five credit level passes at WASSCE/NECO/GCE O-Level at not more than two sittings, which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Physics/Geography, Chemistry and any Social Science – Economics, Agric. Science at credit pass level (WAEC AND NECO CAN BE COMBINED).

- Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEW) 

Entry Requirement: Five passes consisting of: English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science. And any other two subjects. At not more than two sittings in WAEC or NECO (WAEC AND NECO CAN BE COMBINED).

2. Medical Laboratory Technician 

Entry qualification: Four (4) Credit passes in WAEC or NECO which must include: English Language, mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, plus at least a pass in Physics at not more than two (2) sittings. (O-Level result that is above 5 years will not be accepted for the candidate seeking Admission into Medical Laboratory Technician).

3. Environmental Health Department (ND/HND)

- Environmental Health Officers 

Entry Requirement: Five (5) credit level passes in WAEC or NECO in not more than two sittings. The subject must include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry and any form (Geography, Economics, Food and Nutrition, Account, Commerce, Physics, Technical Drawing).

- Environmental Health Technician (EVT)

Admission Requirements: 

4. Pharmacy Technician Certificate

Admission Requirements: 

(Pharmacy Council of Nigeria Accredited) Entry Requirement Minimum of Five (5) Credit passes in WAEC or NECO at not more than two sittings, which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

5. Medical Imaging processing Technician Programme (Radiography) 

Entry qualification: Four (4) Credit passes in WAEC or NECO which must include: English Language, mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, plus at least a pass in Physics at not more than two (2) sittings. (O-Level result that is above 5 years will not be accepted for the candidate seeking Admission into Medical Laboratory Technician).
